Shawna co-developed the KC PRYDE Parenting
Handbook through extensive work and research of
families involved in crisis situations. She also has
experience completing truancy assessments and
psychological assessments for SRS in Wyandotte
County. She is a court service provider for Johnson
County Court Services, providing anger control and
parenting groups and domestic violence assessments.
Shawna has several years experience in administering
neuropsychological assessments. Shawna offers
psycho-diagnostic testing of emotional and behavioral
disorders, as well as personality assessments,
intellectual, career, and forensic assessments. Shawna
also is adjunct faculty at Park University.

Additionally, she has been involved in a variety of group
interventions that targeted stress management,
interpersonal relationship building, and team
development. She has experience working with
patients suffering from traumatic brain injuries, including
assessment and therapy with that population. Donna
also has experience conducting neuropsychological
testing and assessments. Donna has knowledge and
completed coursework in the area of mediation that
would be applicable to family and other related areas.
She serves as an adjunct instructor at Park University,
teaching Abnormal Psychology, Systems of
Psychotherapy, and Adolescent Psychology to adult
learners. Donna has been a member of Kansas
Psychological Association for 3 years. She is a a
court-service provider for Johnson County conducting
anger-management and parenting groups and domestic
violence assessments.

Katie Washington, M.A., LCPC
Katie has a Masters Degree in Counseling and has
over 20 years experience working with children,
adolescents and adults. She provides services to
clients that include grief and loss coping, anger
management education and effective parenting
strategies. Katie has experience working in the
educational setting as a school counselor. Other areas
of expertise include: pervasive developmental
disorders, attachment issues, and family therapy which
can include crisis intervention.
